A Grand Celebration of Unity, Culture, Tradition and Togetherness
27th September 2026 | DME College, Sector 62, Noida
The All India Malayalee Association (AIMA), Uttar Pradesh State Unit, successfully celebrated ONOLSAVAM 2026 on 27th September 2026 at DME College, Sector 62, Noida.
It gives us immense happiness and satisfaction to say that AIMA Uttar Pradesh ONOLSAVAM 2026 was a grand success in every sense.
From the traditional welcome and vibrant cultural performances to the public meeting, awards, felicitations, games and the sumptuous Onam Sadhya, the entire celebration reflected the true spirit of Onam — unity, equality, happiness, friendship and togetherness.
More importantly, ONOLSAVAM 2026 demonstrated what can be achieved when an organisation works together as one family and one team.
A Celebration That Began with Kerala’s Traditional Spirit
The festivities began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in front of the Pookkalam, followed by the much-awaited arrival of Mahabali.
The magnificent beats of the Chenda Melam presented by Delhi Panchavadya Trust immediately filled the venue with the unmistakable festive atmosphere of Kerala.
The Chenda, Pookkalam, Thalappoli, traditional attire, music and cultural performances transformed the venue into a beautiful reflection of Kerala and brought the nostalgic spirit of Onam to the Malayalee community in Uttar Pradesh.

Every performer deserves our appreciation. Their rehearsals, preparation and enthusiasm made the cultural segment one of the highlights of ONOLSAVAM 2026.

Celebrating Academic Excellence
ONOLSAVAM 2026 was not only about festivities and entertainment. It was also an occasion to recognise and encourage excellence among the younger generation.
A particularly proud moment was the presentation of the AIMA–Paul Diclause Memorial State Educational Excellence Award 2026.
The award was presented to Mr. Sreehari V. Nair of Ghaziabad, recognising his outstanding achievement in Class XII.
The memento was presented by Chief Guest Shri Harikishore S, IAS; the certificate by Special Guest Smt. Medha Roopam, IAS; and the cash award by Guest of Honour Shri Nithin Valsan, IPS.
We congratulate Sreehari V. Nair and his proud parents and wish him even greater achievements in the years ahead.
Honouring Our Chenda Gurus
Another meaningful moment was the special felicitation of our respected Chenda Gurus — Vadyapraveen Dr. Cheruthazham Kunhirama Marar and Shri Kalamandalam Abhishek Marar.
Their dedicated guidance and disciplined training have been instrumental in preparing the AIMA Uttar Pradesh Women’s Wing Chenda Melam Team.
A Guru does not merely teach an art form; a Guru passes a cultural tradition from one generation to another.
AIMA Uttar Pradesh therefore expresses its profound respect and gratitude to both Gurus for nurturing our Women’s Wing members and helping them confidently embrace Kerala’s magnificent Chenda tradition.
A New Cultural Journey – Women’s Wing Chenda Arangetram
ONOLSAVAM 2026 also became the platform for another important milestone — the release of the brochure and promotional video for the upcoming AIMA Uttar Pradesh Women’s Wing Chenda Arangetram, scheduled for 21st October 2026 at Sree Ayyappa Temple, Sector 62, Noida.
The Arangetram will take place with the blessings of Padma Shri Mattannur Sankarankutty Marar and under the guidance of Vadyapraveen Dr. Cheruthazham Kunhirama Marar and Kalamandalam Abhishek Marar.
The Promotional Video was officially released by Shri K. R. Manoj, National General Secretary, AIMA.
This initiative is a matter of pride for AIMA Uttar Pradesh and represents our commitment to preserving and promoting Kerala’s traditional art forms among our members.
The People Behind the Success
A programme of this scale cannot become successful through stage performances alone. Behind every visible moment were hours of planning, coordination, phone calls, rehearsals, arrangements and voluntary service.
Our special appreciation and heartfelt gratitude go to Smt. Deepthi Nair, General Convener of ONOLSAVAM 2026.
Her leadership, commitment and continuous coordination were central to bringing together the different committees and numerous components of the celebration.
A very special appreciation goes to Smt. Jyothi Mohan and the Cultural Committee for putting together such an impressive cultural programme and coordinating the large number of performers.
Our sincere appreciation goes to Shri Manoj Nair and the Food Committee for efficiently coordinating one of the most important parts of any Onam celebration — the Onam Sadhya.
The excellent Sadhya was greatly appreciated and enjoyed by everyone.
A Warm Welcome for Every Guest
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Smt. Prabha Rajan and the Reception Committee.
Receiving distinguished guests, members, families, performers and invitees while ensuring that everyone feels welcomed is a demanding responsibility. The warmth and hospitality extended by the Reception Team contributed greatly to the overall experience of ONOLSAVAM 2026.
Excellent Stage Management
A cultural programme involving so many performers, dignitaries, presentations, awards and stage transitions requires tremendous backstage coordination.
A very special appreciation goes to Varsha, Rohini and the Youth Wing for their excellent Stage Management.
Their enthusiasm, alertness and coordination helped keep the programme moving and ensured that performers, presentations and stage requirements were managed effectively.
The contribution of our Youth Wing deserves particular recognition. Their willingness to take responsibility and work wherever required reflects a very positive future for AIMA Uttar Pradesh.
Fun, Laughter and Games
Onam is also about laughter, friendship and participation.
Our sincere appreciation goes to Smt. Moly Nair, Smt. Sudha Pradeep and the Youth Wing for coordinating the games and involving our members and families in the festive spirit.
Their contribution brought additional fun and interaction to the programme.
Our Anchors – The Voices of ONOLSAVAM 2026
A special word of appreciation is due to our wonderful anchors.
Devu and Manjusha beautifully handled the cultural sessions, while Veena and Amritha carried forward the formal proceedings and other important segments of the celebration.
Anchoring a long programme involving cultural performances, dignitaries, awards, felicitations and unexpected stage requirements is never easy.
We sincerely appreciate Devu, Manjusha, Veena and Amritha for carrying out this important responsibility with confidence and enthusiasm.
Gratitude to Our Sponsors and Supporters
No community programme of this scale can be organised without financial and material support.
AIMA Uttar Pradesh places on record its sincere gratitude to all our sponsors, contributors, supporters and well-wishers who generously came forward to support ONOLSAVAM 2026.
Your support was not merely a financial contribution; it was an expression of confidence in AIMA and its activities.
We also thank everyone who supported the programme through logistics, decorations, Pookkalam, Thalappoli, Chenda arrangements, audio-visual support, photography, gifts, mementos, guest coordination, transportation, venue arrangements and numerous other responsibilities.
Some contributions may have been visible to everyone, while many others happened silently behind the scenes. Every contribution mattered.
The Onam Sadhya – A Perfect Finale
And finally came one of the most eagerly awaited parts of the celebration — the traditional Onam Sadhya.
After a day filled with music, dance, Chenda, games, awards, fellowship and celebrations, sitting together and enjoying the traditional feast gave the event a fitting conclusion.
Our appreciation once again goes to Shri Manoj Nair, the Food Committee and everyone who worked with them to coordinate and serve the excellent Sadhya.
More Than an Event – We Celebrated as One Family
What made AIMA Uttar Pradesh ONOLSAVAM 2026 truly special was not merely the stage, decorations, cultural performances or Sadhya.
It was the people.
It was seeing senior members, youngsters, children, families, office bearers, volunteers and performers working together.
It was seeing people taking responsibility without waiting to be asked.
It was seeing our youth actively involved.
It was seeing our women members take leadership roles in planning, culture, reception and traditional art forms.
It was seeing our distinguished guests, community leaders and members sharing the same platform in the true spirit of Onam.
And it was seeing the AIMA family come together as one.
Heartfelt Thanks to the Entire AIMA Family
Our deepest gratitude goes to each and every member and family of AIMA Uttar Pradesh who attended ONOLSAVAM 2026.
Thank you to our senior members for your guidance.
Thank you to our office bearers and Executive Committee members for your support.
Thank you to our Conveners and Committee members for accepting responsibilities and delivering them successfully.

Thank you to our guests and dignitaries for honouring us with your presence.
Thank you to the volunteers who worked from behind the scenes.
And thank you to every family member who came, participated, encouraged our performers and made the venue come alive.
Conclusion – Together We Made It Possible
AIMA Uttar Pradesh ONOLSAVAM 2026 was a success because it was a collective effort.
No single person can claim the success of an event of this magnitude. Every hand that helped, every idea that was shared, every contribution that was made, every rehearsal attended, every responsibility undertaken and every encouraging word played a part in its success.
The greatest achievement of ONOLSAVAM 2026 was therefore not simply that we conducted a successful programme.
Our greatest achievement was that we did it together.
That is the real spirit of Onam.
That is the strength of AIMA.
Let us preserve this spirit of unity, friendship, mutual respect, cooperation and service and carry it forward into all our future activities.
May AIMA Uttar Pradesh continue to grow as a strong, inclusive and compassionate family — preserving our culture, encouraging our younger generation and standing together for our community.
On behalf of AIMA Uttar Pradesh, I once again express my heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to each and every person who contributed to making ONOLSAVAM 2026 a memorable success.
Together we planned.
Together we worked.
Together we celebrated.
And together, we made ONOLSAVAM 2026 a success.
🌼 THANK YOU, AIMA FAMILY! 🌼
🌼 HAPPY ONAM! 🌼
