NRCC Meeting: Women’s Day Event, Football Tournament, Youth Wing Strengthening & Awareness Rally

Welcome and Inauguration

The NRCC meeting on 26.02.205 at DMA Centre commenced with a warm welcome by Additional General Secretary Shri Jayaraj Nair. General Secretary Shri K R Manoj presided over the event, while Chairman Shri Babu Panicker officially inaugurated the meeting.

Both Shri K R Manoj and Shri Jayaraj Nair emphasized that AIMA’s operational efficiency has significantly improved. They acknowledged that the newly implemented system has strengthened the association’s ability to address concerns and provide timely solutions.

1. Women’s Day Celebration – Mayookha Sandhya (02/03/25)

A detailed discussion took place regarding the NRCC-organized Women’s Day event,

2. NRCC Account Management

Until the new financial system is implemented, NRCC funds will be temporarily managed by the AIMA Central Committee. Shri Prabhala Kumar informed members that steps are being taken to open a dedicated NRCC bank account. The financial status of NRCC was also presented during the meeting.

3. NRCC Football Tournament

The meeting approved an AIMA-organized football tournament in memory of ERC Panicker, scheduled for August 9-10, 2025. This event will be fully funded by external sponsors and contributions from all state units. Delhi Secretary Shri Jayakumar stressed the importance of raising funds for the tournament.

4. Upcoming NRCC Meeting – Bhiwadi Family Get-Together

The next NRCC meeting will be hosted in Bhiwadi as a family gathering event, tentatively scheduled for April or May. The final date will be announced soon. Additionally, a farewell function will be arranged for Delhi Vice President Shri Pavithran Koyilandy, who is relocating to Kerala.

5. AIMA Awareness Rally – Punjab to Kozhikode

To promote AIMA’s upcoming event in Kozhikode in July, Shri Alex P Sunil and other members will undertake a motorcycle awareness campaign from Punjab to Kozhikode. This initiative aims to enhance engagement and spread awareness about AIMA’s activities.

Road Accident Near Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh; Two Seriously Injured

Six Malayalees who were returning from the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj to Thiruvananthapuram met with a road accident near Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Two among them sustained serious injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital, Bilaspur.

How and Where Did the Accident Happen?

The accident took place on a highway near Bilaspur while the group was traveling from Prayagraj to Raipur, en route to Thiruvananthapuram. According to initial reports, the vehicle lost control and collided with another vehicle.

Condition of the Injured

  • Two individuals sustained severe injuries and are receiving emergency treatment at Apollo Hospital.
  • The other four passengers suffered minor injuries but are safe, as confirmed by hospital authorities.

AIMA QRT’s Swift Response and Support

Upon receiving news of the accident, the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) Quick Response Team (QRT) immediately took action to assist the victims. Shri Anil Nair, National Secretary (Charity & Projects) of AIMA, played a crucial role in ensuring the admission of the injured individuals to Apollo Hospital and arranging all necessary medical support.

Additionally, AIMA National Treasurer Shri Sajimon Joseph personally visited Apollo Hospital, Bilaspur, to check on the victims’ condition and coordinate further assistance.

AIMA provided timely assistance, including hospital coordination, medical aid, and other support for the victims. The organization remains in touch with the victims’ families to provide further assistance as needed.

AIMA Quick Response Team (QRT) – A Decade of Service

AIMA’s Quick Response Team (QRT) has been actively providing emergency assistance across India since 2011. The team operates at a PAN India level, offering immediate help in cases of:

  • Accidents and Medical Emergencies – Coordinating hospital admissions, ambulance services, and financial support.
  • Natural Disasters – Providing immediate relief and rehabilitation for affected Malayalees.
  • Stranded Individuals – Assisting Malayalees facing difficulties while traveling or working in different parts of India.
  • Legal and Logistical Assistance – Supporting individuals with necessary legal aid and emergency travel arrangements.

Over the years, AIMA QRT has successfully handled hundreds of critical cases, working in collaboration with hospitals, police authorities, and local community leaders to provide timely and effective assistance.

Safety Measures for Long-Distance Travel

This unfortunate incident highlights the importance of road safety. Some key precautions include:

  • Ensuring that drivers get adequate rest during long-distance journeys.

AIMA National Women’s Wing- Women’s Day Celebration – Her Rhythm 2025

AIMA Women’s Wing Women’s Day Celebration

Introduction

The AIMA Women’s Wing is thrilled to announce two exciting competitions in celebration of Women’s Day: Photography and Instrumental Music (String & Rhythm). These competitions are open to Malayalee women aged 35 and above and will be judged based on creativity, originality, technical quality, and overall impact. The competitions will be held in three stages: state, regional, and national levels. The first-place winner at the state level advances to the regional competition. The first and second-place winners at the regional level proceed to the national level. The national winners will be awarded cash prizes of ₹3,000 for the first place and ₹2,000 for the second place.

Eligibility and Judging Criteria

Participants must meet common criteria. Eligibility is restricted to Malayalee women aged 35 and above. Judging criteria include creativity, originality, quality, and overall impact.

Submission Guidelines

The submission period is from March 12th to 15th, with specific dates determined by the concerned state. All entries must adhere to competition-specific guidelines. Only the latest photos and videos will be accepted, and each submission must include the date of the photo or video. Judging will be conducted at state, regional, and national levels.

Judging Timeline

The judging timeline follows a structured approach. State-level selections must be completed by March 20th. Regional-level selections should be finalized by March 25th. The national-level deadline for both competitions is March 30th.

Photography Competition

The Photography Competition follows the theme of “Motherhood” and incorporates the 2025 International Women’s Day colors: Purple, Green, and White. Only women should appear in the photos, which must be captured using mobile phones. The quality of images and the effective combination of the three colors will be key evaluation factors.

String Instrumental Music Competition

The String Instrumental Music Competition requires participants to submit a video performance lasting no longer than three minutes. Permitted instruments include the violin, guitar, and veena. Judging will be based on musical talent, creativity, and presentation. Only original videos created specifically for this competition will be accepted; previously recorded performances are not allowed.

Rhythm Instrumental Music Competition

The Rhythm Instrumental Music Competition also requires a video performance lasting no longer than three minutes. The permitted instruments in this category are tabla, triple drum, dholak, mridangam, chenda, and jazz. Judging will be based on musical talent, creativity, and presentation. Only original videos created specifically for this competition will be accepted; previously recorded performances are not allowed.

Charge Officers

Charge officers have been assigned to oversee different regions.

  • East & North Region: Deepthi Nair, National Vice Chairperson & Women’s Wing Convener of UP, and Prashobha Rajan, National Joint Treasurer & Convener of Women’s Wing, Rajasthan.
  • South & West Region: Sandhya Anil, State Convenor of Karnataka, and Latha Namboodiri, NEC Member.
