A Divine Fulfilment of a Long-cherished Dream

In deference to the long-cherished aspiration of countless devotees of Lord Guruvayurappan, the Arsha Dharma Parishad Governing Body, under the spiritual guidance of Temple Chief Thantri Brahmasri Puliyannoor Anujan Narayanan Nambudiripad, is conducting, for the first time, the Vishnu Sahasranama Kodi Archana from Monday, 6th October to Saturday, 1st November 2025, culminating in the Laksha Deeparchana on Sunday, 2nd November 2025.

This sacred event marks a new chapter in the spiritual history of Delhi, as the divine vibrations of Lord Vishnu’s thousand names resonate continuously through 27 days of devotional chanting and floral offerings.

The Essence and Spiritual Power of Kodi Archana

The Vishnu Sahasranama Kodi Archana involves 27 days of continuous chanting of the thousand names of Lord Vishnu by numerous archakas (priests). Each day corresponds to one of the 27 Nakshatras (stars), ensuring that by the end of the ritual, each Nakshatra receives one crore Archanas.

This pious and powerful ritual is believed to bestow prosperity, divine protection, peace, and spiritual elevation upon the devotees. It helps remove obstacles in life, brings emotional balance, promotes mental clarity, and strengthens the devotee’s connection to the divine.

Sacred Procedures and Ritual Significance

Before the commencement of the Archana, sacred purification ceremonies such as Praasada Sudhi and Bimba Sudhi are being performed.

• Praasada Sudhi sanctifies the temple premises, ensuring the purity of the Sthoola Bhavam (physical form of the divine).
• Bimba Sudhi purifies the Sookshma Bhavam (subtle form of the divine) through rituals like Chathusudhi, Dhara, Panchagavyam, and Panchagam.
