It was conducted under the leadership of the Rajasthan State President, Shri Gopinathan A, with full support and coordination from the State Executive Committee, Women’s Wing, and Youth Wing.

The event is being commemorated on a national scale and will be inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 26th June 2025 at 11:00 AM at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

This celebration is not merely a remembrance of the past but a tribute to the timeless values of social justice, equality, and spiritual reform that these two icons championed.

Sree Narayana Guru – The Sage of Social Revolution

Sree Narayana Guru (20 August 1856 – 20 September 1928) was not only a spiritual visionary but also one of India’s greatest social reformers and humanists. Born into the marginalized Ezhava community in Kerala, during an era when caste oppression was rampant and systemic, Guru rose above the social constraints of his time to lead a profound non-violent revolution—one rooted in spiritual awakening, universal love, and human dignity.

Guru’s teachings transcended religious boundaries and focused on inner purity, ethical living, and the oneness of humanity. Through temples he consecrated (open to all castes), literary works like Atmopadesa Śatakam and Daiva Dasakam, and the motto “One Caste, One Religion, One God for Humanity”, Gurudevan became a beacon of hope and unity in a fragmented society.

What set him apart was his quiet defiance. Unlike the violent upheavals seen in other parts of the world, Narayana Guru’s revolution was peaceful yet powerful, ushering in educational empowerment, social mobility, and spiritual democratization for the oppressed classes in Kerala.

He founded the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam, an organization that played a pivotal role in advocating educational reforms and economic empowerment for marginalized communities. His philosophy of Advaita (non-dualism) emphasized that the divine exists equally in all beings — a perspective that directly challenged the divisive caste structures of the time.

Gurudevan’s influence extended far beyond Kerala — philosophers, reformers, and spiritual leaders across India and even from abroad recognized his genius. And one of the most powerful acknowledgments came in 1925, when Mahatma Gandhi came to Kerala and sought a personal meeting with him at Sivagiri Mutt.

The historic meeting between Gurudevan and Mahatma Gandhi took place on 12th March 1925, at the Gandhi Ashram in Sivagiri, a building donated by M.K. Govindadas. White sand was laid on the path, and a peaceful spiritual ambiance prevailed. Thousands had gathered to witness the coming together of two Mahatmas, deeply committed to India’s moral and social regeneration.

Gandhiji was accompanied by C. Rajagopalachari, E.V. Ramaswami Naiker, Mahadeva Desai, and Ramdas Gandhi. Gurudevan arrived earlier to receive Gandhiji. Their meeting was not just ceremonial — it was a quiet yet profound dialogue on the moral duties of the reformer, the role of religion in social transformation, and the need to eliminate caste discrimination.

This event marked the convergence of two parallel movements — Gandhi’s political satyagraha and Guru’s spiritual revolution — both working toward the emancipation of the oppressed.

The Annual General Meeting of the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA), Maharashtra Unit was successfully held on Sunday, 8th June 2025 at 10:30 AM, at the Kerala House, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The session marked a significant gathering of community leaders and members to review the past year’s activities and pave the way forward with renewed energy and vision.

A Solemn and Purposeful Start

The meeting commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by an observance of one-minute silence as a mark of respect to the martyrs and victims of the Pahalgam Terror Attack and those who lost their lives in Operation Sindhoor. The gathering stood in unity, paying heartfelt condolences to the departed souls — both soldiers and civilians.

Warm Welcome and Leadership Address

Shri Nadarajan, Secretary of AIMA Maharashtra, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the meeting and expressing gratitude to all the attendees. The meeting was presided over by Shri T.A. Khalid, the dynamic President of AIMA Maharashtra, who provided insights into the Association’s direction and encouraged active member participation.

Financial and Activity Reports

The Treasurer, Shri Komalan, presented a comprehensive financial report, outlining income, expenses, and the financial health of the unit.
This was followed by a detailed activity report presented by Vice President Shri Shreeratan Nanu, showcasing the Association’s achievements and various initiatives undertaken during the year.

Esteemed guests Shri Upendra Menon, National Vice President, and Shri Jyothindran Mundakkal, National Vice Chairman, addressed the gathering. They emphasized the importance of stronger grassroots involvement and praised the Maharashtra unit’s consistent efforts. Shri P.N. Muralidharan, National General Council (NGC) member, also offered valuable perspectives on national-level initiatives.

Key Resolutions and Action Points

Several important decisions were taken during the meeting:

• Accelerating the process of acquiring a dedicated AIMA Maharashtra Office was unanimously agreed upon, with members contributing generously to the fund.
• A renewed commitment was made to strengthen the Ladies Wing and Youth Wing, promoting leadership and inclusivity across age and gender.
• A formal request was put forth to the AIMA National Committee to increase the existing membership strength, to empower the Association further and extend its outreach.

The Indian Medical Association Hall, Nadakkavu, Kozhikode, became the hub of inspiration on 7th June 2025, as the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) Kerala Unit held its Annual General Meeting. The highlight of the event was the Paul Diclause Memorial Educational Excellence Awards, presented by AIMA National President Shri Gokulam Gopalan, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

The meeting was presided over by Shri A.K. Prashant, President of AIMA Kerala, who welcomed the distinguished guests, members, and award winners with heartfelt words and reaffirmed AIMA’s commitment to youth empowerment and education.

From Devagiri CMI Public School, Kozhikode, CBSE topper Nandana Ranjish emerged as Kerala’s pride with an extraordinary 499 out of 500 marks (99.8%) in her Class 12 board examinations. Her excellence extended beyond academics—winning First Prize in both Malayalam and Hindi essay writing at the Kozhikode District Sahodaya Kalotsav, and earning an ‘A’ Grade at the state level in 2022–2023. Daughter of doctors Dr. Ranjish A T and Dr. Shamna S, her consistent brilliance marks her as a future leader and changemaker.

🌟 Christy Paul Mathew – Special Recognition

Scoring a perfect 1200 out of 1200 (100%) under the Kerala State Board, Christy Paul Mathew of Holy Family HSS, Venappara received Special Recognition for his well-rounded excellence. He was awarded the Governor’s Award from NBSE, excelled in speech and essay competitions, and actively participated in science fairs. His leadership skills, demonstrated through multiple years as class monitor, and the strong guidance of his mother, Molly Paul, a devoted teacher, shaped his holistic achievements.

Arli Joseph, a bright and dedicated student, resides at N-541 A, Sanjay Nagar, Sector-23, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh – 201001. He has successfully completed his 12th grade from St. Paul’s Academy, Ghaziabad, under the ICSE Board of Education. In the academic year 2025, Arli appeared for the board examinations from the state of Uttar Pradesh and secured an exceptional total of 494 out of 500 marks, achieving an outstanding percentage of 98.8%. His chosen subjects included English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, reflecting his strong inclination toward science and analytical disciplines.
