The Grand Musical Gathering of Malayalee Talent

The AIMA Voice – North Zone Competition, held as part of the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) National Music Contest, was a spectacular festival of music, unity, and cultural celebration. Designed to discover and nurture Malayalee singing talents from across India, the competition brought together 20 talented state-level winners from six northern states, each representing their regions with passion and pride.

The air was filled with melody and anticipation as the young and senior singers took to the stage, transforming the venue into a celebration of Malayalam music and heritage. The event commenced with a solemn yet joyous inaugural ceremony. Prof. K. V. Thomas, Kerala Government’s Official Representative in Delhi, inaugurated the program by lighting the traditional lamp, marking the beginning of a beautiful day of harmony and heritage. In his address, Prof. Thomas lauded AIMA for its continuous efforts to unite Malayalees across India and said,

“Music transcends all boundaries, and AIMA Voice has become the heartbeat of Malayalee identity across our nation.”

The grand Award Ceremony was presided over by Shri K. C. Muraleedharan, Chief General Manager of NTPC, who graced the function as Chief Guest. He presented awards to the winners, joined by Babu Panicker, K. R. Manoj, and K. Raghunath.

The event also witnessed the presence of several notable AIMA members and well-wishers including P. Ravindran, Mohan K. Nair, Thampi George, Suresh Kumar Nair, K. T.
