AIMA Voice Back: A National Stage for Malayalee Musical Talent

AIMA Voice is back! After the resounding success of its earlier seasons in 2016 and 2018, the much-awaited AIMA Voice 2025 is here to once again celebrate the vibrant musical heritage of Malayalees across India. Known as one of the most prestigious platforms for amateur singers, AIMA Voice has nurtured budding talents and given them the opportunity to shine on a truly national stage.

This third season promises to be bigger, more exciting, and more melodious than ever before. Carrying forward its legacy, AIMA Voice continues its mission of preserving and promoting Malayalam music while identifying and encouraging upcoming singers from every corner of India.

State-Level Competitions: The Beginning of the Musical Journey

The journey of AIMA Voice 2025 begins at the state level, which will be conducted between August 15 and September 15, 2025. Each AIMA State Unit will organize its respective competition during this period.

Eligibility and Categories

The competition is open to all Malayalee singers residing in the respective states for at least six months prior to the event. The participants are grouped into three age categories to provide equal opportunity and fair competition:

  • Junior (10–15 years) – Born between 15.08.2010 and 14.08.2015
  • Senior (16–25 years) – Born between 15.08.2000 and 14.08.2010
  • Super Senior (25 years and above) – Born on or before 14.08.2000

Participants will perform two Malayalam songs, one in the Semi-Classical category and one in the Melody category, using karaoke tracks.

Recognition and Selection

Every participant will receive a certificate of participation, while the top three winners in each age group will be presented with trophies. To qualify for the zonal level, winners must also achieve the prescribed minimum scores set by the judges.

The first round is not only about winning but also about building confidence, experiencing stage performance, and being a part of a community that celebrates music.

Zonal Competitions: Towards National Recognition

The winners from the state competitions will qualify for the zonal rounds, which act as the bridge between state-level success and national recognition. The zonal competitions will bring together the best singers from multiple states to compete in front of larger audiences.

The zonal competitions are scheduled as follows:

  • South Zone – October 26, 2025 (Chennai)
  • West Zone – November 9, 2025 (Mumbai)
  • East Zone – November 16, 2025 (Kolkata)
  • North Zone – November 2, 2025 (Delhi)

The format remains the same as the state rounds, with each participant presenting a semi-classical and a melody song. The top three singers from each category will move on to the ultimate stage — the Grand Finale.

The Grand Finale: A Celebration of Music and Talent

The most awaited and prestigious phase of AIMA Voice 2025 is the Grand Finale, which will be hosted in Kochi in December.

Schedule and Format

  • December 25–26: Arrival and Grooming Sessions for finalists
  • December 27–28: Final Competitions with live orchestra
  • December 29: Reserve Day

Unlike the earlier rounds that used karaoke tracks, the finale will feature live orchestra performances, making it a true test of musical excellence. Participants will be informed of the finale formats and song requirements at least 15 days in advance, giving them ample time to prepare.

National Reach – Live Telecast on Flowers TV

To bring the excitement to music lovers everywhere, the Grand Finale will be telecast live on Flowers TV. This national broadcast will not only showcase the participants’ musical talent but also bring the richness of Malayalam music into households across India and abroad.

Prizes and Recognition

The Grand Finale winners in each age group will receive prestigious cash awards:

  • First Prize – Rs. 50,000
  • Second Prize – Rs. 25,000
  • Third Prize – Rs. 15,000

In addition, a Special Prize has been introduced to ensure that Non-Resident Keralite (NRK) singers also find encouragement and recognition, should they not feature among the top three.
