Annual General Meeting of AIMA Maharashtra – A Resounding Step Forward..
The Annual General Meeting of the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA), Maharashtra Unit was successfully held on Sunday, 8th June 2025 at 10:30 AM, at the Kerala House, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The session marked a significant gathering of community leaders and members to review the past year’s activities and pave the way forward with renewed energy and vision.

A Solemn and Purposeful Start
The meeting commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by an observance of one-minute silence as a mark of respect to the martyrs and victims of the Pahalgam Terror Attack and those who lost their lives in Operation Sindhoor. The gathering stood in unity, paying heartfelt condolences to the departed souls — both soldiers and civilians.

Warm Welcome and Leadership Address
Shri Nadarajan, Secretary of AIMA Maharashtra, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the meeting and expressing gratitude to all the attendees. The meeting was presided over by Shri T.A. Khalid, the dynamic President of AIMA Maharashtra, who provided insights into the Association’s direction and encouraged active member participation.

Financial and Activity Reports
The Treasurer, Shri Komalan, presented a comprehensive financial report, outlining income, expenses, and the financial health of the unit.
This was followed by a detailed activity report presented by Vice President Shri Shreeratan Nanu, showcasing the Association’s achievements and various initiatives undertaken during the year.
National Leadership Addresses
Esteemed guests Shri Upendra Menon, National Vice President, and Shri Jyothindran Mundakkal, National Vice Chairman, addressed the gathering. They emphasized the importance of stronger grassroots involvement and praised the Maharashtra unit’s consistent efforts. Shri P.N. Muralidharan, National General Council (NGC) member, also offered valuable perspectives on national-level initiatives.

Key Resolutions and Action Points
Several important decisions were taken during the meeting:
- Accelerating the process of acquiring a dedicated AIMA Maharashtra Office was unanimously agreed upon, with members contributing generously to the fund.
- A renewed commitment was made to strengthen the Ladies Wing and Youth Wing, promoting leadership and inclusivity across age and gender.
- A formal request was put forth to the AIMA National Committee to increase the existing membership strength, to empower the Association further and extend its outreach.
Appreciation and Acknowledgement
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Adv. Rakhee Sunil, Women’s Wing Convenor, who thanked all dignitaries, members, and guests for their active involvement and continued support.
