Honouring Academic Brilliance and Community Vision in Kozhikode

The Indian Medical Association Hall, Nadakkavu, Kozhikode, became the hub of inspiration on 7th June 2025, as the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) Kerala Unit held its Annual General Meeting. The highlight of the event was the Paul Diclause Memorial Educational Excellence Awards, presented by AIMA National President Shri Gokulam Gopalan, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

The meeting was presided over by Shri A.K. Prashant, President of AIMA Kerala, who welcomed the distinguished guests, members, and award winners with heartfelt words and reaffirmed AIMA’s commitment to youth empowerment and education.

A Warm Welcome and Annual Review by Shri Ravindran Poyilur

The program began with a warm and eloquent welcome by Shri Ravindran Poyilur, State Secretary of AIMA Kerala, who greeted all dignitaries, members, awardees, and attendees on behalf of the Kerala Unit. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the significance of unity and purpose within AIMA and commended the relentless efforts of members in carrying forward the association’s mission.

Following the welcome, Shri Ravindran presented the Annual Report for the previous year, offering a detailed review of AIMA Kerala’s numerous initiatives, outreach programs, and milestones achieved. He highlighted key projects carried out in education, social welfare, cultural promotion, and youth empowerment. The report reflected AIMA Kerala’s dynamic presence and meaningful impact across the state, reaffirming its commitment to service and excellence.

The Legacy Behind the Award: Remembering Paul Diclause


The Paul Diclause Memorial Educational Excellence Awards were instituted to commemorate the enduring legacy of Late Paul Diclause, a respected community figure known for his dedication to academic excellence and nurturing young talent. The award, presented in collaboration with the Paul Diclause family, is a tribute to his lifelong commitment to education and empowerment.


Award Ceremony Highlights

🏆 Nandana Ranjish – State Topper

From Devagiri CMI Public School, Kozhikode, CBSE topper Nandana Ranjish emerged as Kerala’s pride with an extraordinary 499 out of 500 marks (99.8%) in her Class 12 board examinations. Her excellence extended beyond academics—winning First Prize in both Malayalam and Hindi essay writing at the Kozhikode District Sahodaya Kalotsav, and earning an ‘A’ Grade at the state level in 2022–2023. Daughter of doctors Dr. Ranjish A T and Dr. Shamna S, her consistent brilliance marks her as a future leader and changemaker.

🌟 Christy Paul Mathew – Special Recognition

Scoring a perfect 1200 out of 1200 (100%) under the Kerala State Board, Christy Paul Mathew of Holy Family HSS, Venappara received Special Recognition for his well-rounded excellence. He was awarded the Governor’s Award from NBSE, excelled in speech and essay competitions, and actively participated in science fairs. His leadership skills, demonstrated through multiple years as class monitor, and the strong guidance of his mother, Molly Paul, a devoted teacher, shaped his holistic achievements.

Both students expressed their sincere thanks to AIMA for acknowledging and celebrating their efforts.
