As the world prepares to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) Telangana Women’s Wing in collaboration with Kerala Souhruda Kalavedi BHEL & SNSEA RC Puram is gearing up for an elaborate and heartfelt celebration. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, March 8, from 11:00 AM onwards at Grandmaa Home, Chanda Nagar BHEL, Hyderabad, where the women residents will be honored with a day filled with joy, care, and cultural activities.
A Unified Effort for a Meaningful Celebration
The event is being organized under the leadership of AIMA Telangana Women’s Wing in collaboration with Kerala Sauhruda Kalavedi, SNSEA RC Puram, and local member organizations such as Nair Welfare Association Serlingampally and Kerala Samajam BHEL. This collective effort aims to create a memorable experience for the sixty-plus women residents of Grandmaa Home, many of whom are elderly and in need of care and companionship.

- Distribution of five wheelchairs for women in need.
- Provision of essential clothing and other necessary items for the residents.
- Personalized gifts to bring smiles to the faces of these women.
- ‘Food for the Needy’ Initiative:
- As part of AIMA Telangana’s monthly outreach program, a special meal will be served to all the residents.
- Volunteers and members will personally serve food, ensuring a day of nourishment and care.
- A Day of Togetherness:
- Engaging conversations and bonding activities between AIMA Telangana members and the women residents.
