AIMA Eastern Region Meet and Inauguration of National Projects of Women’s Wing

Introduction

The All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) is delighted to announce the Eastern Region Meet, a two-day event aimed at fostering unity, cultural exchange, and collaborative growth among the Malayalee community in the Eastern region of India. The meet will also feature the Inauguration of National Projects of the Women’s Wing, highlighting AIMA’s commitment to social welfare and women’s empowerment.

Event Overview

The AIMA Eastern Region Meet, scheduled for 5th and 6th October 2024 at the prestigious Sarat Sadan Hall in Kolkata, is set to be a landmark event for the Malayalee community. This gathering will bring together all National Leaders of AIMA and five representatives from each of the 10 state units in the Eastern region to participate in discussions and deliberations on key issues affecting our community.

Day 1: 5th October 2024

1. Inaugural Ceremony
Time: 6:00 PM
Chief Guest: His Excellency, Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal

The program will commence with a grand inaugural ceremony, graced by His Excellency, Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, who will honor us with his presence as the Chief Guest. The ceremony will include the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address by the AIMA President.

2. Keynote Address by Chief Guest
The Hon’ble Governor will deliver a keynote address, sharing his insights on the role of cultural organizations in promoting social welfare and community development. His Excellency’s speech is expected to provide inspiration and direction to all attendees.

3. Inauguration of National Projects by Women’s Wing
This segment will witness the formal inauguration of several key projects spearheaded by AIMA’s Women’s Wing, focusing on women’s empowerment, education, health, and entrepreneurship. These projects aim to enhance the socio-economic status of women in the Malayalee community and beyond.

4. Cultural Programs and Performances
A series of cultural performances, including traditional Malayalee music and dance, will follow the inauguration ceremony. These performances will celebrate the vibrant culture of Kerala and showcase the artistic talents within the community.

Day 2: 6th October 2024

1. Panel Discussions and Workshops
Time: 10:00 AM onwards

The second day will feature a series of panel discussions and workshops focusing on various topics such as:

  • Empowering Women through Education and Skill Development
  • Preserving Malayalee Cultural Heritage
  • Community Welfare and Social Initiatives

Expert speakers and panelists from various fields will share their insights and experiences, engaging in meaningful dialogues with the audience. All national leaders of AIMA and five representatives from each of the 10 state units of AIMA Eastern states will participate in these discussions, contributing their perspectives and ideas for advancing the association’s objectives.

2. Networking Session and Lunch
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

A networking session over lunch will provide an opportunity for attendees to interact, exchange ideas, and build connections with other members and leaders within the community.

3. Felicitation Ceremony
Time: 2:30 PM

A felicitation ceremony will be held to honor outstanding contributors to the Malayalee community and recognize their exceptional achievements in various fields, including social service, education, business, and arts.

4. Closing Remarks and Future Directions
Time: 4:00 PM

The event will conclude with a session outlining the future directions and initiatives of AIMA, with a special focus on expanding the impact of ongoing projects and fostering greater collaboration within the Eastern region.
