Shri Babu Panicker hails from Ambalapuzha in Alappuzha district, Kerala. After completing his graduation, he joined his father in their travel and tourism business, demonstrating a keen aptitude for the industry from a young age. For over 30 years, Shri Babu Panicker has led the travel and tourism sector in Delhi, becoming a well-known figure with his in-depth industry knowledge. As the Managing Director of Panicker’s Travel (India) Private Limited, a prestigious travel agency in Delhi, he has been instrumental in promoting India’s rich cultural heritage, ensuring that people from all walks of life can experience and take pride in our nation’s diverse history.

Shri Babu Panicker is not only a successful entrepreneur but also a dedicated philanthropist with a strong presence in the Malayali community within the National Capital Region. Shri Babu Panicker’s excellence in the tourism industry has been recognized on numerous occasions. He has been awarded the National Tourism Award by the Government of India for Best Domestic Tour Operator, acknowledging his outstanding quality of service for multiple years, including 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, 2009-2010, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2013-14, and 2014-15. In addition, he was honored with the prestigious “Silver Jubilee Award” for promising entrepreneurship by Navodayam, a cultural organization of Keralites in Delhi, presented by the Hon’ble Shri L.K. Advani, the then Deputy Prime Minister of India.

Since 2011, Shri Babu Panicker has been closely associated with the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA), where he has served as the National Chairman. His visionary leadership has been instrumental in guiding the organization to new heights, reflecting his deep commitment to the welfare of the Malayalee community across India.

A New Chapter with Global NSS

Shri Babu Panicker’s election as Vice Chairman of the Global NSS marks a significant milestone in his illustrious career. This accomplishment is part of a broader election in which other prominent leaders were also chosen: Shri Somasekharan Nair CM was elected as Chairman, Shri Udayabhanu as General Secretary, and Shri Shiva Prasad as Treasurer, among others.
