Spreading Warmth with Compassion: AIMA Uttar Pradesh Women’s Wing Winter Cloth Distribution Successfully Conducted at Indirapuram

As winter sets in, the biting cold becomes a serious challenge for families living without adequate shelter and warm clothing. Responding with compassion and a strong sense of social responsibility, the Women’s Wing of the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) Uttar Pradesh Unit successfully carried out a Winter Cloth Distribution Programme on 07 December 2025. The initiative was conducted at two slum locations in the Indirapuram area, bringing timely relief to many vulnerable families.
This completed programme stood as a true reflection of AIMA’s humanitarian values, transforming community support into direct action for the welfare of the underprivileged.
Aim and Objectives of the Programme
Aim
To provide warmth, comfort, and dignity to underprivileged individuals and families during the harsh winter season, while reinforcing the spirit of empathy and social responsibility within the community.
Objectives

- Promote Sustainable Giving: Support the reuse of gently used clothing, thereby reducing waste and encouraging responsible living.
- Assist the Underprivileged: Reach slum dwellers and homeless individuals who are most affected by winter conditions.

About the Winter Cloth Distribution Drive
The Winter Cloth Distribution Drive was thoughtfully planned to ensure timely relief during the cold season. Warm clothing such as sweaters, jackets, shawls, woollen caps, scarves, and blankets were collected from various residential societies in Noida and Indirapuram and distributed among the needy.
The community-based collection model allowed residents to participate conveniently from their own neighbourhoods. Volunteers from the AIMA Uttar Pradesh Women’s Wing coordinated the collection and distribution with dedication, ensuring that the garments reached deserving beneficiaries with respect and care.
The programme brought visible relief and smiles to many families, especially children and the elderly, for whom winter poses severe health risks.

Leadership and Coordination
The successful execution of this humanitarian initiative was made possible through the coordinated efforts of AIMA leaders and volunteers. The programme was efficiently guided by:
- Smt. Deepthi Nair, Vice Chairperson, National Women’s Wing
- Shri Jayaraj Nair, National Additional General Secretary
- Shri Manoj Kumar Nair, Treasurer, AIMA Uttar Pradesh
- Shri Biju Thankappan, Joint Secretary, AIMA Uttar Pradesh
