AIMA and Kerala Samajam Dimapur to Honour Academic Achievers

The All India Malayalee Association (AIMA), in collaboration with Kerala Samajam Dimapur, will host the Paul Diclause Memorial State Educational Excellence Award Ceremony for 2025 on Sunday, 29th June 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Kerala Samajam Hall, Dimapur. The event will honour Ms. Tessy Anna Philip, who has been selected as the State Topper under the AIMA Paul Diclause Award scheme. In addition, a special felicitation will be given to Mr. Christy Paul Mathew for securing a perfect score in the Kerala Board Class 12 examinations.


About the Paul Diclause Memorial Award

Instituted by the AIMA Central Committee, the Paul Diclause Memorial State Educational Excellence Award is a prestigious recognition granted annually to a deserving Malayalee student who has topped in their respective state. The award pays tribute to the late Paul Diclause, a passionate advocate for education, youth development, and community service. It is a celebration of not only academic achievement but also the overall personality, leadership skills, and participation in extracurricular activities by the recipient.


Tessy Anna Philip – 2025 Paul Diclause Awardee

This year’s awardee, Ms. Tessy Anna Philip, is a student of St. Antony’s Public School, affiliated with the CBSE Board. She scored an outstanding 491 out of 500 marks (98.2%) in the Class 12 Board Examination. Tessy studied English, Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology, showcasing a deep interest in the humanities and social sciences.

Residing at Anandasseril, Pathampuzha PO, Kottayam, Tessy is not only a top scorer but also a vibrant and active student. She has participated in various chess competitions, elocution, and debate events. Her innovation was displayed in her science project on an Electronic Voting Machine. Furthermore, she served as the English Club Leader, reflecting her leadership qualities. Tessy is the daughter of Mr. Philip Thomas, a businessman.


Special Felicitation – Christy Paul Mathew: A Perfect Scorer

In a unique recognition, Mr. Christy Paul Mathew will be felicitated for achieving an exceptional 1200 out of 1200 marks (100%) in the Kerala State Board Class 12 Examination. Christy studied at Holy Family Higher Secondary School, Venappara, and his subjects included Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, and Hindi.

Christy is from Thamarassery, Kozhikode, and has a long list of academic and extracurricular achievements. He was the recipient of the Governor’s Award from the Nagaland Board of Secondary Education (2023) and has secured top positions in multiple school and interschool competitions in speech, essay writing, and story writing in both English and Hindi. His participation in maths and science fairs, along with his leadership role as Class Monitor across several academic years, marks him as a truly multi-talented individual. He is the son of Mrs. Molly Paul, a teacher.


Organizing Leadership and Community Support

The program is being organized with the strong support and guidance of Shri Radhakrishnan Nair, President of AIMA Nagaland, and Shri Reji Abharam, Secretary of AIMA Nagaland. The event is also backed by the Executive Committee Members of the Nagaland State Unit, alongside the active participation of Kerala Samajam Dimapur.
