This event marks the convergence of singers, music lovers, and cultural enthusiasts who were once part of the iconic AIMA Online Music Programme.

The Legacy of AIMA Online Music Programme

During the dark and uncertain days of the COVID-19 lockdown, music became a beacon of hope. The All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) initiated one of the largest virtual music festivals in Indian history. This programme ran continuously for more than 15,000 hours, featuring over 900 singers from around the world. It was not just an online show — it was a lifeline, a family, and a musical movement.

Recognized Nationally: Best of India Award

In recognition of this extraordinary achievement, AIMA’s Music Programme was awarded the “Best of India Award” for conducting the longest virtual live music session during the COVID period — a monumental feat that underscored the power of art in times of crisis.

This year, Kozhikode pays tribute to that unforgettable journey. The event titled “Another Music Day for Kozhikode” will be held on Sunday, May 18th at 10:00 AM, at the Gurukulam Art Gallery, situated on Vaikom Muhammed Basheer Road, Kozhikode.

Organizers: The Melody Makers of Kozhikode

The event is organized by പാട്ടുക്കൂട്ടം (Paattukkoottam) Sangeetha Koottayma, a community-based music group from Kozhikode, which has consistently nurtured local musical talent and created platforms for collaborative art.

Special Guest of Honour: Shri P. N. Sreekumar

The programme will be graced by the esteemed presence of Shri P. N. Sreekumar, the founder of AIMA Music and patron of AIMA. His vision during the pandemic not only kept the music playing but brought thousands of hearts together through the digital stage.
