Ending the Rising Drug Abuse and Violence: “Deepajyoti Prayanam” Initiative

Addressing a Growing Concern
The alarming rise in drug abuse and violence has become a significant concern in society, affecting individuals and families across all demographics. Addressing this pressing issue, , as a part of International Women’s Day Celebrations, the Women’s Wing of All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) Kerala, in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association, Balajanasakhyam, Rotary Club Calicut South, NCC 9th Battalion, St. Joseph’s College, Devagiri, Providence Women’s College, Calicut Central, and Rotaract, is organizing “Deepajyoti Prayanam.” This initiative is a unique and powerful event that brings together women from various organizations to spread awareness about the dangers of drug addiction and violence. The event aims to instill a sense of responsibility and collective action against these social evils.
Leadership and Inauguration
The program will be presided over by Smt. Anita Palari, Chairperson of the AIMA National Women’s Wing. The honorable Mayor Dr. Beena Philip will inaugurate the event, emphasizing the role of community involvement in curbing substance abuse.
