1. Meeting Overview

As per the Northern Region Vice President Shri Jaison Joseph’s 90-day action plan, a meeting was held in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan on 22nd September 2024. This meeting was a part of the strategic efforts to improve the activities and outreach of the All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) within the Rajasthan State Unit.

The following key office bearers from AIMA attended the meeting:

The agenda of the meeting focused on the development of the Rajasthan State Unit, membership growth, and the strengthening of youth and women’s activities.


2. Discussion Points

The meeting revolved around four main objectives, aligned with the broader goals set by Shri Jaison Joseph as part of his 90-day action plan:

2.1 Increase of Membership by 30% in Rajasthan State

  • It was agreed that a targeted approach would be employed to increase membership within the Rajasthan State Unit by 30% over the next quarter.
  • Action steps discussed included greater outreach to the Malayalee community, local partnerships, and setting up information booths at cultural events.

2.2 Youth Wing and Women’s Activities Enhancement

  • The importance of energizing both the Youth Wing and Women’s Wing was emphasized.
  • New initiatives and projects tailored for youth and women will be introduced, aimed at boosting engagement and participation across the state.
  • Collaborative efforts with other cultural and social organizations were suggested to involve more young members and women from diverse backgrounds in the activities of AIMA.

2.3 Adding One More Organization to the Rajasthan State Unit

  • To enhance the visibility and impact of AIMA in Rajasthan, the meeting agreed to add one more organization under the AIMA Rajasthan umbrella.
  • The identification of a suitable organization that aligns with the objectives of AIMA was discussed, with the goal of formalizing this addition within the next three months.

2.4 Development of AIMA in New Areas of Rajasthan

  • There was a strong focus on expanding the presence of AIMA to new areas within Rajasthan, especially in regions that have a significant Malayalee population but limited organizational outreach.
  • A plan to establish units in these new locations was outlined, with the objective of extending AIMA’s services and activities to a wider geographic area.

3. Action Plan

The meeting concluded with a clear set of actionable steps:

  1. Membership Drive: A campaign will be launched to meet the 30% membership increase target by December 2024.
  2. Youth and Women’s Initiatives: Special programs and events will be planned for the upcoming months to engage more young and female members.
  3. Organization Addition: A shortlist of potential organizations to be added will be created, with discussions to begin immediately.
  4. Geographical Expansion: A detailed plan to identify new areas for AIMA expansion in Rajasthan will be prepared and executed by end of 2024.

4. Conclusion

The meeting successfully addressed key developmental goals for AIMA Rajasthan, setting a path for growth and increased member engagement. With the support of the National and State-level leadership, the action points discussed will contribute significantly to the strengthening of AIMA’s presence in Rajasthan.
